Foster Care and Foster-to-Adopt
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to live
and thrive in a stable environment.
Child & Family Services provides foster homes and support services
for children and adolescents, who are unable to remain in their own
homes due to abuse, neglect or special needs. All children are
different, and our case managers, mental health professionals and
foster parents work together to provide customized care for each and
every child.
We are licensed to place children from infancy through age 21, and
we offer the following services:
- Help for regular foster children, as well as therapeutic
foster children, or those who have special needs
- Intensive case management
- Respite services for foster parents when they need a temporary
break
- Casey Independent Living Skills Training
- Support groups for foster parents, children and youth
- 24-hour crisis intervention and emergency services
We also coordinate services, such as individualized group
therapy, in-home therapy, mentoring and behavior aide services. Once
we’ve matched a child with the foster home that is best for him or
her, we may recommend specific services based on the child’s needs.
About
Foster-To-Adopt
Child & Family Services of Eastern Virginia believes that every
child deserves a forever home. In keeping with this ideal, Child &
Family Services of Eastern Virginia offers a foster-to-adopt program
wherein the foster parent chooses to legally adopt the foster child
after the child has been placed in the home. This program allows a
transition time for both the family and the child prior to adoption
finalization. There are children in the foster care system looking
for their forever home right now. Could you be their answer?
